I would highly recommend Mr Komath, who I saw regarding the extraction of a problematic wisdom tooth. I found him to be very professional and efficient. He took care to explain everything to me, answer my questions and reassure me. Indeed, the operation went smoothly, and my recovery was quick. I would return to Mr Komath should I need any further care in his department.

I was referred to Mr Komath in October 2021 by my dentist as I urgently required a very complicated wisdom tooth removal. Mr Komath immediately grasped the gravity of my dental problems as well as the potential issues around my complex medical history. The surgery itself was quickly and efficiently organised, and carried out at the BMI King's Oak Hospital. I had anticipated that the surgery would leave me with quite a lot of residual pain as it was a particularly challenging root in terms of size and placement which carried a lot of risks. It turned out to be quite the opposite: I recovered from the surgery very quickly, there was only some mild discomfort on the day after the surgery which required nothing stronger than paracetamol, and the comprehensive dental aftercare ensured I remained infection-free and the wound has healed beautifully.

I am extremely happy with the complete process of the procedure. The recovery was quick with no pain. The results were amazing with no visible scaring !

I had a procedure under Mr.Komath on 21.07.2021 at Hospital of St Johns and Elizabeth. Mr.Komath is an excellent surgeon and I am very happy with the results. Mr.Komath is doing a fantastic job and I am very greatful to him.

Mr Komath is a highly trained consultant surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He is a General Medical Council, UK registered specialist Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is the clinical lead in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. Mr Komath is a member of the Royal Free skin cancer multidisciplinary team board. He is dually qualified in Dentistry and Medicine, having been trained at premier London teaching hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital for children, University College London Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital.
He specialises in the management of all aspects medical and surgical conditions affecting the face and neck. This includes facial injury, diseases of the mouth, salivary glands, jaw joints and developmental anomalies. His practice covers adults and children.
His areas of specialist interest include Head and neck reconstruction and aesthetic facial surgery in which he has considerable experience. Mr Komath takes a keen interest in training and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He is an examiner for University College London and has varied research interests and is well published.
